The Appletini Recipe
The Appletini is also called the Apple Martini. This is a fresh cocktail made with vodka and one or more apple flavored liqueurs or juices. The liqueurs that are commonly used are Apple schnapps, apple brandy or any other apple flavored liqueur. If you want to you can use Apple Cider or Apple Juice with the drink. This drink has a number of variations. There are some people that use calvados and some apple puree. This cocktail is very simple to make. All you have to do is mix the apple schnapps with vodka to give it a very sweet taste. You can also add another adaption to the drink in the form of flavored vodka. Two other recommendations to the cocktail could be pear and citrus. There is caramel flavored vodka and this can be used in the drink too. The color of the cocktail depends on the brand of the schnapps you use, as some of them are greener others available in the market and this is how you can get the color. For garnish you can use a slice or peel of green apple that has been dipped in the juice of a lemon for preserving its color.

Ingredients For The Appletini
The ingredients for the Appletini are as follows-
- 11/2 ounces of vodka
- 1 ounce green apple schnapps
- ¼ ounce fresh lemon juice
- ice cubes
- green apple slice for garnish
How Do You Make An Appletini?
For making an Appletini you should –
- Ø add the ice cubes to the cocktail shaker
- Ø put all the ingredients except the garnish into the shaker
- Ø shake well for 20 seconds
- Ø strain the contents into a martini glass previously chilled
- Ø garnish with a slice or green apple.
There is a general variation of the Appletini drink called the Rumpletini. This uses Light Rum instead of Vodka. You can also make Sour Apple Martini where you can add a splash of lime juice instead of the vodka. Classic Apple Martini can be made where you can add Dry Vermouth instead of the Vodka. Pine Apple Martini can be made with ½ shot of pineapple juice instead of the Vodka.
